Taking the nature of modern-day air travel as a starting point, create a promotional calendar for distribution to a target audience of your choice.
Solution
A promotional calendar for the Galapagos Conservation Trust reflecting the detrimental effect that over-tourism is having on the islands’ wildlife. One species is depicted per month, beginning with a fully intact image composed of coloured circles. As the user turns through the calendar, the coloured circles begin to fall through (laser-cut holes) until the final image is made solely of holes in the paper – over time, over-tourism is wiping out these species. Coloured circles hand-painted with acrylic, text screen-printed.
